A Moment of Bliss - Chapter 1 Release!
Hey Fans!
Here is the first release of A Moment of Bliss. We should discuss pricing before anything else.
The $6.99 price tag is for the full game. Once you make the purchase, you'll have access to every release as they happen. You'll get the full game. Two weeks after the final release, the price will jump up to $9.99. So if you buy early, you get a nice deal.
The reason for this is that payment processors have been eating 22%+ of my profits from here. Every time someone makes a purchase, there's a transaction fee of around .65 cents. The doesn't include itch.io's share from my profits. This adjustment should see more money come my way so I can invest more money into the business and bring better quality work even faster.
The Bug
I've recently discovered a major error in the artistic program I use to create the artwork. There was a bug that was causing all my characters to have facial attributes they were not supposed to have. Moving forward, the characters will looks slightly different. More human, less like aliens.
The Future
I'm going to try to get a new release out every 2 - 3 months. My goal for the next release is going to be around June. I may split the Chapters into two parts so we can get content out at a reasonable speed. I'm going to try to go back and update the renders in this release with the bug fix so they all look a little better too. That will be over the course of time though, not all at once.

Hey Lockheart, thanks for making this great series with Petal, Bliss and the Others. A Petal Among Thorns was my favorite visual novel ever. I really liked the slow Charakter and relationship building. Which brings me to my feedback of chapter 1 of Moment of Bliss. The dynamic with Bliss seemed a little bit rushed there. I mean the MC has already warmed up about inner family relationships and he sure asks if it is okay for Bliss, but he seemed to be a little out of character to be sure so fast with Bliss considering Bliss doesnt know about Petal and him, at least on his account. He makes it strangely obvious he is open to incest even though he was inclined to keep it a secret. The MC is not doing a good job on that front. As Bliss is portraid as a very intelligent woman, she should be able to figure out the relationship between MC and Petal by herself i expect. Or maybe Petal has consulted her sister even before going for him? I always wondered how she came to those sexy pictures of her sister.
But anyway, i really loved your new game and i am looking forward to the next chapter. Only wanted to give you feedback there. In Petal among thorns the reservations of the MC were good and later on maybe a bit much, but here they felt like to be too little.
Oh and about Nixie. I am intrigued about inner family relationships and you portray them so well. It is soo much about power relationships and their dangerous potential and you portray your characters so that incest feels plausable for them and not like being only there for the pleasure of one party. But at the same time Harem topic is quite different i feel. The idea to transform family love to more is fascinating, but i like to keep it in Family. It feels off to make transforming family love to sex equal to making it a Harem. In terms of emotions that are involved, i think that is a whole different step and approach to develop a kink for for the characters in your novel. I lived quite some years in an open relationship and it is essential to reassure all partys involved on a regular basis that the emotions are stable and your position is clear. The more involved the more you need to do. Thats why Harem in the family at least in a narrative sense feels more stable because the family relations are supporting them. I really hope, you somehow make the relationship and even sexual content with Nixie optional. It didnt sound like it in this chapter.
Sorry for rambling but i wanna repeat. Great work there and keep it up!

As for the complexities regarding harems, I know it's incredibly more complicated in real life to maintain a relationship with multiple partners. Please understand this is absolutely fiction, absolutely fantasy. I would not condone much of what happens in A Moment of Bliss, or much of my other work, in real life. You're correct that open relationships come with their own unique difficulties and challenges. The wonderful part about fantasy is we can mitigate, or eliminate entirely, these complications so we can reveal in the fun of the scenarios without the complications. I'll dive into some things like aftercare and safe words, but for the most part I want people to be able to experience a guilt-free, consequence-free ride so they can more easily enjoy the magic of it all.
With that said, I do believe everyone should take time out to do research on safe practices and educate themselves about the deeper complexities that come with intercourse. Sex education makes a better experience for everyone.

The comparison with Real Life was only meant for those Points that make a Story beliebeable for the reader. And i think on that front, you are very good. Your characters make sense. Your MC in Petal Among Thorns was reassuring and looking after Petal in a plausible way. Fanatsy is good because of difference and similarity with real Life.
And there i thought that the MC wasnt beliveable in saying to Petal he wants to pause for a week and gets in action the next day. Maybe one more day getting warm with Bliss would have seemed more plausible. The bonding with Petal was so much more in depth and with Bliss its getting fast. Bliss is more active and the girls set the pacing in your games. But the MC could have stalled it for a little bit.
I was comparing your game with Light of my Life where the Girls are also the driving factor, but the MC is much too bland as he is sometimes only a stupid fools that sees stuff happen to him. Your MC is a lot deeper written, but here his resolve melts like nothing and he doesnt even see that. That s why it felt rushed.
But hey, i would never have so much to say, if i wouldnt like your game so much. I am eagerly looking forward to the next chapter and see it all unfold.
It'll all make more sense a bit later. There are things at play in the background that the player isn't seeing yet.
NaughtyRoad's Light of My Life is using the MC more as a vessel for people to self-insert. It works for a large majority, but I prefer to have an MC that has his own in-depth personality. It's just different styles. I've had quite a few complaints about the shift from first-person to third person, but this way allows much more freedom to open up MC's character. You please some, you disappoint some. It's a harsh balancing act.
There you are quite right. 1st person and 3rd person makes a big difference, Just as the vessel or the written MC. But those Vessels dont really work out. You need to indentify with the words the MC says and a lack of those creates a feeling of passivity, which feels like a personality trait as well. I am not a fan of that approach as well.
Your third person perspective took a moment of adjustment for me as well, but you designed him very good. So the adjustment worked well. But i wonder if it feels different for you as well in the writing process. Like if there is less inclination to articulate equally pronounced feeling as in 1st Person. I could imagine that there are subtle differences. For writing you take a position in a narrative inverionment as well and a different perspective might change something there as well.

Hey lock slice um once again great relationship building and stuff but I did notice there were less choice ie like in first game when test petal resolve and she used the safe word it one fav moment bc of character building conversation that had happened after Also it once again these are nit picks and free to tell me I am some ahole on internet which is true but it seems like little choices that made truly fun playthrough aren't there tho it could since it 1st chapter so build there may have not space for it but I just point out out much awesomeness that choice and building of relationship because of that choice was one fav parts and hope that there little choices and make a deeper enjoyment

Suzie stops MC and says "She [Petal] can't know about me" and then four slides later says to MC "Hand her the glasses and i'll explain everything to her" and then Petal says "oh, hey Suzie" as if she already understood everything.
That doesn't make sense to me.
Suzi is a well known phone assistant. Just like Alexa, or Siri. What Petal can't know about is the fact that Suzi is now a full fledged Artificial Intelligence. So when Suzi explains that the MC won a raffle, she's doing it as the Suzi that Petal knows, not the new Suzi that is a fully sentient AI.

I just finished it. Great work! This one moves faster than Petal. I love it. And I can't wait to see more of the Medusa art.
Just bought this. Petal is one of my favourite games so I am excited to play it. I love games by Lockheart. One of the biggest things I loved about Petal is that you never saw "your" characters face. It made it more immersive for me as the player. Like I was able to immediately place myself as the character; But immediately into this game you see what your character looks like so it's more disconnected for me. Many of these games always use a tall Caucasian Greek statue for their protagonist, and that's definitely not me lol. Don't get me wrong, I am still very excited to play this game and can't wait to see where it leads.

I recently purchased this game (I've purchased your other games .. I love them), but when I went to download this one, I was getting a "third party error" for both the MEGA download site and the Google download site. Is there any other site I can use to download this game? I'm a little disappointed I can't download it today.
Sounds like it might be due to an AdBlocker or Firewall. Can you try turning them off and attempt to download again?
Are you trying to download it through the itch app?
Cause I've found that is a very common error for games that are not hosted through itch
