Over the Moon is the game I'll be working on after A Moment of Bliss. It's the conclusion to the Rose Garden trilogy. The main character will be Moon, the oldest of the girls.
I finished Avalon on Steam earlier tonight and loved it so then decided to try this and it was really great, I loved it as well! I sure hope you continue this story someday.
How do you do it? How do you make characters so believable? And conversations that are so deep and intelligent? How do you make personalities come alive with words on a screen?! I am in awe of you man, I absolutely loved Avalon, and this game is fantastic too! Easy 10/10 from me!

I think the story is very cool and I like the fact that your characters appear again and again in the other games, it's like a crossover, it makes reading and playing even more fun, thanks for the good games
Penny for Your Thoughts is on an indefinite pause, yes. I'm currently working on the sequel to A Petal Among Thorns. I don't have any female protagonist games other than Penny's game. Female Protag games are not yet popular in this market. It's difficult to find an audience for female protag games unless the theme is bimbofication or rapeplay. Strong female protagonist games just haven't quite found their community here yet. It'll happen, but until it does it's hard to justify the time it takes to make a game like Penny for Your Thoughts knowing such a small minority will enjoy it.
I'm currently working on A Moment of Bliss which is the sequel to A Petal Among Thorns. The first Chapter will be released soon. If you follow my itch.io page, I believe you'll be notified when I post a devlog regarding the release.
Oh man....yeah that's a hard field to work on. But man...I can see it working well. I'm not a fan of rapeplay or NTR. A female MC is hard but I'm sure if you a find a way to work the story it'll work.
I played the first chapter last year and found it really interesting so was out of the loop about events. What a shame to see Cassian removed as it's always great to play a game with multiple protagonists especially since both Penny and Cassian complemented each other very well. In the future would you be considering a multiple protagonist game?
I'm still holding off on Penny's game. I took a poll and the majority of my fans would prefer it if I worked on A Moment of Bliss. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with Penny in the future, but I certainly don't want to shelve her forever. I'll keep everyone updated with my plans as they develop.

NTR stands for Netorare. It's a flavor that focuses on infidelity and cheating. Here in the AVN market, it's umbrella covers a wider range of definitions. Depending on who you ask in this community, it could mean anything from cheating, to sharing your love interest, to simply depicting a women in a sexual situation with someone that is not the main character.
Really liked Penny for Your Thoughts. I hope you opt to flesh it out more in the future. Penny was my favorite character from Avalon. I still chuckle at her "catching" the bullets in Avalon and I'm glad I got to see her backstory.
Hopefully you become so successful that you are able to go back to your passion projects, even if they aren't financial successes.

This game is amazing. I created an account just to say thank you. I played the prologue in a single sitting and I loved it. I came here to see if there is any update on some new content and I am really, really sad to see that the game is suspended for now. I can understand the reasoning but it still sucks...

This was a difficult story to set aside. I love all my girls but Penny has a very special place in my heart. All the characters that were joining her on this adventure were also extremely special. The lack of interest expressed in this story astounded me. I'd like to try to continue it one day but right now I'm focusing on the Rose Garden trilogy while I recovery from the devastation of my Penny for Your Thought's failure.

Yeah, I don't understand why it wasn't more popular as well. It reminds me of the suit that Henry made for the military (and the male protagonist). "We have invented many incredible things through the years. Through the decades, as a matter of fact! Sometimes it's not about how spectacular something is. It's about demand."

Great writing! I've only recently 'discovered' visual novels with adult content and I've found a few diamonds in the rough. But this one really sets itself apart. The writing is so much more refined. The characters are people you hope exist in our cynical world.
The one thing I felt was a bit off was Cassian and Penny describing their relationship as a mother/son thing when they're very close in age. I have no problem with Penny being gay - there are no doubt plenty of people who would appreciate the representation. In a perfect world you could make her sexuality a choice and the story changes with that choice but that's another thousand hours and perhaps work for a team rather than a single person. Perhaps a compromise would be to make her bisexual - though the prologue really seems to set up a certain strength in her's and Leah's relationship, despite some lines to indicate that it's a fairly recently established relationship and not set in stone.
The amount of detail in the writing, giving the reader a glimpse into the life of a person with dwarfism, a person with ADHD/Autism .. plus characters talking about people and their motivations .. the story is almost a treatise in psychology and philosophy but it never gets dry.
I'll be looking forward to its continuation, and in the meantime I'll be checking out your other work. =)

Changing Penny's sexual preference is a dangerous road, especially in these times. She's an established character from my first game Avalon. My fans have come to know her as a lesbian. I did briefly consider switching perspectives to Cassian and allowing all the women to be potential love interests for him but I was met with harsh backlash at the idea.
My current project is A Petal Among Thorns. It's considerably different in tone and theme but it's been overwhelmingly well received. Chapter 3 of A Petal Among Thorns should release early next month which is when I would recommend picking it up.
I appreciate the praise you've given to Penny's game more than you know. It was a passion project that I adored and Penny is someone truly special to me but this story just wasn't quite right for this market.

But maybe at some point in time, hopefully your other projects will be successful enough that you can devote time to a passion project - when just making a living doesn't have to be an absolute priority.
It's a pity there aren't more creators like you. When I think about movies .. they have, to some extent, devolved into action flicks, rom-coms and the occasional drama. But are they following the audience or did the audience devolve because of the Hollywood blockbuster and a growing unwillingness to take risks on the part of executives? There are exceptions of course but the trend doesn't look good.

After APAT, I have two sequels planned. Once they're completed, I would like to try something unique again similar to Penny's game but balanced more so a broader audience can enjoy it.
I was a huge fan of Buffy and Angel when I was younger. Joss does a great job with character development. He's certainly a talent I look up to.

However I'd say Penny having sexual relations with more than one male isn't necessary, I mean Avolon is completed so that's set in stone, she never hooked up with Byron and never will... however there's still Cassian so perhaps she could be a potential love interest for him given the relationship they already have? .. Fuck but I can see how that would complicate things seeing that you play as both Penny and Cassian

I thought about that but if Penny becomes someone I want to work with for years and years, then she only gets on male sexual partner. And should that be Cassian? Or should that be someone else that's far down the line?
I decided to simplify it. She will have more intense kinky sexual experiences like the eggs while Cassian will have more traditional sexual ventures. It sort of works.
I'm certainly not disagreeing with you though. I can see how Cassian and Penny would be a smart match. It's s tricky situation that I've put myself in! Ahaha.
I guess that does make sense if u planning on making penny a recurring character for all ur future games.. 1 male partner is fair enough I guess cause that would mean she's bisexual but leans more towards females.. Although I think that if Penny eventually has a male partner perhaps he should be someone important to her and not just a fuck buddy.. Like Cassian for example, he'd be the perfect guy for her given the fact that they already share that love and bond...but at the same time it would probably make things complicated, cause if they have a serious relationship that would mean he'd probably have to appear in ur future games as well but as a non playable character, other wise you'd have to come up with a good reason for them to break up in Penny for your thoughts if they had to have a serious romantic relationship

Penny is a serious relationship type of girl. Leah is extremely loyal but she loves to push the boundaries of sexual kinks. She'll be interested in expanding their relationship to include more experiences, including bringing in other women into their bedroom.
Cassian is certainly someone with a lot of potential. I'd love to work with him for years to come. But I always consider my audience when I make decisions like that. Currently, Penny's game hasn't been as popular as I anticipated. I'm going to put out several chapters of Penny for Your Thoughts but if it never quite catches on, I'll probably move on to another story.
There's a lot to be revealed about Penny and Cassian. When some of the curtain is pulled back, you'll see just how important Cassian and Penny are.
I agree with Starset. I like Penny very much, but she just doesn't work as a MC, or a lesbian, as long as it is mostly guys who want to support your work. She would absolutely work as bi, as long as you pick and stick to one male MC for her.

The concern you might have with the plot twist at the end of this chapter I feel is unwarranted, It adds an air of individuality about Visual Novel genre just like GoT did when they started culling the main characters. It shows that this story line is in a league of its own. I'm chomping at the bit to see what else you have lined up.

But it'll be worth it in the end. We're going to see a lot of character development from it and the story really opens up now.

It's not required to play Avalon first. I try to explain the important parts of that game in a brief overview while you're in the game. There are some characters that transferred over from Avalon though so you will have a deeper bond with some of them if you play Avalon first.
There are two protagonists; Penny and Cassian. They each have their own set of love interests and I have no plans for any sharing or crossing between the two. Penny will have three primary love interests who will all be female (Leah, Jinx and Brynlee) and Cassian will also have his own three primary love interests who will all be female (Tessabeth, Vivian and Una). There will be lesbian content as well as heterosexual content. Cassian will be the only male in Penny for Your Thoughts that's ever shown in any sexual capacity.
Each Chapter will be $2.99 but they also become free after two weeks following their release. It will be available for free to everyone on May 9th. I hope you enjoy Penny for Your Thoughts.
I personally like the idea of paying a single fee, maybe the combined price tag in advanced and just download it as it becomes available....you know what i mean?

Honestly, one of if not the best VN's on itch.io, I love your story telling and visuals are just stunning. I wish I had the ability to make games of this level. Keep up the amazing work.

Congratulations on the start of what I believe to be another masterpiece.
The concern you might have with the plot twist at the end of this chapter I feel is unwarranted, It adds an air of individuality about Visual Novel genre just like GoT did when they started culling the main characters. It shows that this story line is in a league of its own. I'm chomping at the bit to see what else you have lined up.

Thank you, I appreciate that! And you're right, there's a lot that's going to come of this first chapter's ending. Unfortunately, it did leave a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. But it'll be worth it in the end. We're going to see a lot of character development from it and the story really opens up now.

Just a quick question. Is it a requirement to play Avalon before hand to get a full understanding of this story?
It's not required to play Avalon first. I try to explain the important parts of that game in a brief overview while you're in the game. There are some characters that transferred over from Avalon though so you will have a deeper bond with some of them if you play Avalon first.

2) If it's a female character is there lesbian content?
There are two protagonists; Penny and Cassian. They each have their own set of love interests and I have no plans for any sharing or crossing between the two. Penny will have three primary love interests who will all be female (Leah, Jinx and Brynlee) and Cassian will also have his own three primary love interests who will all be female (Tessabeth, Vivian and Una). There will be lesbian content as well as heterosexual content. Cassian will be the only male in Penny for Your Thoughts that's ever shown in any sexual capacity.
Is it a one time buy or do I have to buy each chapter separatly
