itch.io removed his content without warning because of their new terms of service. You have to get new updates though his discord.
Yeah, I've noticed a lot of devs saying that itch.io is becoming a pain to deal with. Guess I'll have to start looking at Fap-Nation and Lewdninja more.
If Chapter 5 is the finished game, (?) why not put it on Steam, give an email address to send proof of purchase to, then send out a free key?!
I believe because of the subject matter Steam doesn't want it on their platform. Maybe he can change the dynamic relationships between the MC and the girls and put them on Steam. Lockheart had mentioned this before about not being able to put it on Steam platform.
Well, ask for proof of purchase to be sent to an email, then send a link to the customer to download it. There is more than one option. In any event, based on what IS on Steam, I doubt they would have a problem. After all, it's you that name them daughters rather than just apartment friends!
Yeah well Steam also updated their Terms of Service, it's now harder to have games with the subject matter being qualified for sale there. Sure there are games with this type of relationships on Steam, but those were before they updated their rules. I'm not a developer so I don't know all the details.
Censorship is constantly increasing these days. I have no doubt that they're going to tighten the belt even further, as are all other platforms. The safest route would be to stop making adult content altogether. I haven't decided to go that far yet, but the thought has certainly crossed my mind. We just have to push back as a community, and do everything we can to stop censorship from taking away our freedom to enjoy what we want to enjoy in fantasy stories.

I have never used Discord - and talk about confusing! I checked every damn icon looking for "post message" and found nothing! I have bought your game, so what the hell do I do, outside of Discord, which is so unfriendly!
I can't control the decisions that itch.io makes. They have chosen that they no longer wish to be in business with me. I had no say in this decision, and I have no recourse. They won't even allow me to make it right somehow. Believe me, I'm upset about it too. itch.io was half my income.
There are no platforms willing to carry A Petal Among Thorns and A Moment of Bliss other than Patreon and SubscribeStar, and I have links on Discord. I'm sorry, but those are the only platforms right now willing to allow my content.
Can't you explain in a paragraph how the hell I post a message in Discord and how I can log in when it asks to create a new account but then says I have already used my email! Why can't DIscord be like every other site and say "Log in" or Create an Account"?!
I can see, at this rate, either you find a link for Itch purchasers to download updates, or just expect much more piracy, as that will be the only option, and I am sure it's available!
Funny how another developer, of another AVN found another way I could download - google drive! As to Discord, first time ever I get a text from discord to put in a code, and Discord says it's been used by a new customer - what the hell does that mean?! First time the code hasn't been accepted!
Discord is a pain in the backside. Its sign-in experience can only be described as smashing your privates with a hammer. Often, you'll end up with multiple identities, one with an email, one with just a username, and only one of them actually works to sign you in, and possibly zero, because you may need the password from one of the username identities with the email address from the other one. :-(
If worst comes to worst, create a new Discord account with a different email address.
The code failure might be because you haven't verified your Discord account with a phone number (according to somebody who posted down below). Worth a try.
Another dev asked for a copy of proof of purchase, then gave me a Google link to download the game, so some devs care, some don't.

I'm going to try to get The Judas Ghost on Steam. Avalon is already on Steam. The Rose Garden trilogy isn't allowed on Steam.
I really do not understand why Steam won't allow your trilogy. I bought Sisterly Lust, Dreams of Desire, Picture Perfect, Summer With Mia...etc., all on Steam. ALL of them are INCEST games, unpatched. I don't remember anything in your games that is any worse than what is in those others. I kind of hate it, because it makes it difficult to buy your games. I am kind of like some of the other people here, and HATE Discord, mainly because it seems overly complicated, causing me to have to spend more time on it than I like. I would like very much to know how to purchase your stories. Thank you.

That is the other problem. Patreon and I, as well as several others that I know of, have issues. I removed myself from their site as a customer and producer. I write short stories. I found out that several people besides myself had issues with them. Simple things that done multiple times, such as double and triple charging, that you have to go through hoops to fix with them. And their customer service is far from easy. Every time that I have had to deal with them, they acted arrogant about the situations. Things eventually got settled, but not until I had to jump through their hoops and talk to multiple persons to find the right one that could fix the issues.
How many chapters are you intending for this story, Lockheart? Looking forward to diving into it soon!!!
That final Chapter is almost done. I should have it finished before the end of June. I'm going to do a bonus release as well which is going to add a few more lewd scenes. I'm not sure when that'll be finished though.

itch.io will no longer allow me to do business transactions through them. In order to acquire the game, you'll have to subscribe to my Patreon. Subscribing for even just one month gives you access to all my works. There is no other way for me to sell A Petal Among Thorns and A Moment of Bliss.
Is there any way to purchase this that doesn't include a monthly sub?
I can't find any platforms willing to sell my work except for Patreon and SubscribeStar. It's not my intention for those to be the only way for you to purchase my works, but with censorship on the rise it's becoming more and more difficult for me to find ways to sell my novels. There is potential for pregnancy in the sequel, Over the Moon. But there won't be any pregnancy in A Moment of Bliss.
However, one of the main themes of The Judas Ghost is trying to get a bunch of women pregnant. You may enjoy that one quite a bit. I'll be releasing the first version of that game in July.

I know that not everyone is financially able, or willing, to subcribe to every developer whose games they want to play, but perhaps you can direct people to "Follow" you on Patreon, and to do a one-time "Subscribe" on Patreon so that they can enjoy your updates and you can still get paid without Itch?
I am directing people over to my Patreon page through itch.io for now. I know a lot of people just don't like Patreon though. I'm going to start a Steam page for The Judas Ghost when I have some content ready to put up on Steam. That's my play right now. I'm just trying to survive long enough to get that game out into the world.

Both links are not working for me. I tried with the Windows Desktop app, Edge, and Firefox. I get the error, "Unable to accept invite". Tried both clicking on the link and being redirected to the app, and directly putting in the invite link in the "Join a server" option in Discord.

A couple of minor grammar nits (and thanks for not having any major ones):
I haven't tried any of Lockhart's games yet. I am super turned off by incest and loli scenarios. Based on that, which games would folks recommend and which to avoid?
Avalon by Lockheart, may be something you are looking for. But I warn you up front, that story may put you out, and into the real world more than you may be ready for. But again, I do not know you, your age, or any of Your background, but since you have found this site, and this novel by Lockheart, you have some lust and pleasure to seek out. I can write about Avalon, but what about you check out my comment there, and you get some more information about what I mean.
Next for me is your turned off statement, and I totally understand those feelings, and the written form of it, that again not put you into the lewd area. I am and adult man, with children and lived one life with my ex wife. In the story telling, by the artist, every character in his games are of 18+ age! With that, and the mindset, means they're can, and should take their own decision, baste on their perspective.
The word incest, is somewhat twisted in terms of what it means to you, to me, to maybe a different meaning to everyone. The big difference goes to what your society put people into classes, boxes, and thereafter force down a set of rules, regulations, bans, do and do-not, this list goes on so I stop here. Where I am raised, come from, and live, the words meaning are abuse of children under 18, 16 years old, and the absolute majority are without the ability or power to stop it from happening, bye the youngest involved.
I am a little thoughtful about if I shall post this or not, but I decide to do so.
Lockheart and his novel, present some of the most family secrets that are silenced, by the family, and sometimes part of the public community. That «treatment» destroys good peoples, and too many times let real bad ones go free, due to unbelievable causes. Too much money, community power are some of those.
Enough from me, I recommend Avalon, by I have to ware you, you may be hooked on the art from Lockheart, as I am now.

Regarding my loli and incest comments. Certainly anything suggesting underage or non-consensual is revolting to me. It's as arousing as a car crash. A lot of AVNs on itch seem to regard the EULA as a challenge, and clearly just tiptoe along that line to tell the same story regardless. For example "landlord" stories - I.e. main character is clearly having an incestual relationship with legal-aged sister/mom/niece/stepchild/aunt, but within the story they're called "landlord" and "tenant" despite that making no sense in the context. Likewise female characters that look like and act like children, but are introduced as 18 regardless. All of which is gross to me. There could have been a great accompanying story, but I just wouldn't be able to make it through it. For me this would be like watching the porno remake of Schindler's List.
If you are looking for AVN's that avoid a lot of the AVN tropes like those, then Our Red String and Opportunity: A Sugar Baby Story are a great place to start. There's also Paradise Inc, Rise Of The White Flower, Price of Freedom, The Last Sovereign (also one of the 2 best RPGM games I've played), Starship Inanna, Out of Touch! and Rogschard too.

Yeah I don't mind them having a landing strip at least. Maybe the third daughter Moon, I mean all their names are what hippie parents would named their kids, you'd think they at least have some hairy bush. But alas this is 2023 so you gotta go with the trend I guess.
Been single all my life. Slept with about 70 women from 1990 to 2020. In the beginning, they were all hairy to some degree or other, but toward the end of 2010 and onward, there were more "baldies", but never more than about 30%. On that basis, as least 3 girls should have hair!

thanks for the heads up Lockhart definitely looking forward to and I will let you know as soon as I complete it but can’t imagine it being a bad game as all the titles I’ve played of yours so far have been top notch especially on the story that’s my main thing with these types of games I get invested in the characters

Love all of your work as its truely amazing but damn why did you sour it by adding the whole premise of blackmail in a moment of bliss. I really liked nixie but its been ruined by the fact it wasn't fate but situational abuse that brought things to were they are and its made it harder to enjoy her character knowing whats been revealed

Oh, yeah, she's a terrible witch. Our protagonist handled that situation like a champ though. There's got to be some drama, or it isn't a Lockheart work.

I still hesitate to take this sequel because I played by making Petal my real biological daughter. Could I find this same relationship with her in this sequel?
So far all the characters are related biologically. Petal, Bliss, and Moon are all the main protagonists daughters.

Yeah choosing them to be the daughter's makes more sense. I guess that's how you intended the story to go. Making them roommates, MC guardian or Land lord etc.. wouldn't make any sense to the story. I can see why you have to have options, figures it's taboo and credit card companies wouldn't kindly accept payments for these kinds of visual novels. Hence why Steam are now strict on games like these.

You have an interesting story in the makings but for me there is WAY TOO MUCH Domination going on. Also why wasn't this kink included in the set tags?!?!? What's next? Full BDSM? NTR? It would've been better to drop a few hints in either the tags or description rather than have someone pay for it and get hit with it like that. I'm fully aware that there are people who are into things like this but also at the same time there are those who are not. All I'm saying is let people know before hand is all. You really do have an interesting story going but it hard to fully enjoy it when rushing through certain parts due to content. Just bought chapter3 Android update, the fixed version, it refuses to install.
I have had no reports of this from anyone else. Can you give me more details about the error?
The file downloads, no issue there. Start to stage the application and I'm asked if I want to install an update. I answer yes, the installation proceeds for a few more seconds and then I get the message, "app not installed". I've made sure everything is on internal storage. I've deleted the update and downloaded again. I have installed an update to another game with no issue.
The new file is not an update. It's the game in full. You don't want to update, you want to do a fresh install.
